Independent Chair, Norfolk Disability

Do you care about social justice and want to see equality in how disabled people live their lives?  Do you have the skills and experience to lead a group of disabled people, their carers and disability organisations?  To make the most of a year ahead of major policy reforms to social care?

This group has been leading work in response to a Judicial Review (that recognised discrimination in how social care finances work in Norfolk). The County Council asked ThePublicOffice to work with disabled people and carers to help change the environment that enabled that discrimination to arise.

Over the past year a group has formed and made some significant changes. The work needs to ramp up with the national reforms coming in the next 12 months.

We’re now looking for a remunerated Chair who can work with the group and me to influence how decisions are made with disabled people in Norfolk.

Please take a look at the information here and contact me by 16 September.  esmee@socially-adept.co.uk
